Coffee shop means different things in different countries and different places. Few coffee shops mean an informal coffee shop offering tea, coffee and variety of snacks. However there are few coffeehouse chains across the worlds that are popular and well-known by patrons for serving exclusive exquisite coffee from across the world.

Every other person begins their day with a sip of coffee and tea at home or office. But spending an evening in a delightful, relaxing cafe with squishy sofas and comfortable atmosphere with a close friend over a cup of flavored coffee means energy, refreshment and is sure to unwind you.

Like every other country, coffee is the drink of choice for many in India and this love for coffee made many renowned coffeehouse chains open outlets in India and have brought different flavors and combination. From chocolate mocha to a double chocolate chip iced coffee or Espresso Italiano to Caffe Americano and Cappuccino, everything is available in every popular coffee shop.

Coffee shop is not only a trend but also demand of time. All major coffee shops provide internet access so that students and professionals can use their laptops while enjoying their coffee. Many official meetings are also held in such coffee shops where internet is a must. Even students can be seen working on projects and study materials sitting in a coffee shop and enjoying their favorite coffee or tea. The demand and love for coffee has made coffeehouse a continuous trend across the globe. You would find coffee shops every third step in America and even big coffee chains would prefer to have pop up outlets in gas stations and airports to serve coffee to travelers. Coffee shops also help in the economy by creating job opportunities.

What follows is some of the things that make for a great cup of coffee. A lot of factors go into making that perfect cup of coffee and you can control all of the things suggested below. You may have some of your own suggestions to add to the list so I’ve opened the comment section up at the end of this article.

The first step in making the perfect cup of coffee is to purchase the highest quality of coffee that you can afford. If you can only afford the generic coffee from your local supermarket that’s fine. If it’s some exotic fair trade organic coffee from Columbia or Africa that’s fine also. You may be paying .99 a pound for one and .99 a pound for another but it all comes down to an individuals own taste and what you like when picking the coffee you want to drink. I’ve had some coffee that I thought tasted nasty but my friend loved the taste.

Ok,,, now you have the coffee you like for whatever reason. You do have control over the freshness of the coffee after you have purchased it. Having a nice air tight canister or just closing the bag tightly after you open it helps keep it fresh. Also keeping it airtight and in your freezer also adds to freshness. A lot of companies vacuum seal their coffee or flush the air in the bag out with nitrogen. They do this to keep the coffee as fresh as possible. Buy only enough coffee to cover what you will use over the next month or two.

Water, yes water is am important part of the coffee making process. It influences the taste of your coffee and in some cases by a large margin. I’ve tasted coffee made with water from the local city water supply and it was fine and then go to another city only to find my coffee had a very different taste. In some cases I have purchased filtered spring water from the local supermarket to make my coffee with. Water does and can make a big difference in the taste of your coffee. Filtering your own water supply also works fine. I’m lucky to live in a city that has excellent water even though it comes out of the Mississippi River here in New Orleans , Louisiana.

We are finally to the actual brewing process. There are son many different types of coffee machines on the market that you can choose from. The one I’m using is a close out that I only paid .47 for. I needed a new glass pot because I cracked mine. When I looked at the price of new glass pots and they were to and I could get everything for .47 I just got a whole new coffee maker. You have you choice of using paper or reusable strainer coffee filter baskets. You also have a wide variety of coffee machines ranging from my machine all the way up to a couple hundred dollars. It’s really a matter of choice and I’m sure it can make a difference in your coffee.

If you use whole bean coffee then you need a grinder  unless you have one of those machines that the grinder is built into your coffee machine. The one to two pot coffee bean grinder cost from to around 0. If you fine grind your coffee and use a reusable coffee basket like I do you will end up with sediment in the bottom of your coffee cup. When drinking a healthy mushroom powdered infused coffee you may want to drink the sediment because of all the nutrients  you get. Most paper filters will leave little to no sediment. Again it is a personal preference.

Ok we have now made a pot of coffee and we are pouring ourselves a cup of coffee. Some people like their coffee black and some like to add cream, sugar, flavoring or some other additive. All of these additives make a difference in the taste of your coffee. One creamer taste different from another creamer. There are flavored creamers and there are low calorie creamers. There is a wide range of sweeteners from plain white granular sugar to honey and nectars. Then there are your man made sweeteners that are usually low or no calorie which to be perfectly honest with you may not be the best thing for you to add to your coffee. We will discuss that in the Healthy Coffee section of this website.

Now we are going to sit back and relax and enjoy our great tasting cup of coffee.

I’m going to go one more step further. Sometimes where you drink your coffee and the company your sharing your coffee with can make for a richer experience.

The three essential ingredients for coffee making are

1.A coffee maker

2.Quality coffee beans

3.A coffee bean grinder

Among the best coffee makers the coffee making machine are the ones which will help you make the best coffee. Simply you need to get a percolator. The coffee making machine will have water heater a milk heater and it has a strainer trough which the coffee will be passed through the milk water mixture and the amazingly hot milk water mixture will blend the best coffee ever.

Now we must know what kind of coffee maker do we need to help ourselves to the best coffee ever! The essential things that we must take care should be that the water should not be hard water, then the milk should not curd and it should be fresh. And the coffee beans should be of the best quality and preferable if they are Arabica coffee beans.

Can something as simple as drinking a cup of coffee really help advocacy groups with their funding? You might not think so, but actually it is doing just that.  With coffee being the second largest traded commodity, second only to oil, ( a 70 billion dollar a year industry) this might be the sleeping giant that advocacy groups have been waiting for. Tapping into this preverbal “well” of funding might also seem near impossible to many, but maybe it is not as much of a “pipe dream” as one might think.

There are complications to fundraising, manpower, storage, scheduling and the right product, just to name a few. Rounding up dependable volunteers can be difficult at times, nearly impossible given the average families scheduling of after school programs, work, and home life. Not to mention social activities, among countless others. In more and more families today, both parents must work to make ends meet. This makes it more and more difficult to find the time, not to mention the energy to assist in the efforts to raise the funding goals of any group.

Normal fundraising efforts require a volunteer base to help raise the funding, traditionally consisting of mostly parents. Take for example the most common of fundraisers, cookie sales. To accomplish this thousands of children are designated to search out supporters in neighborhoods across the country, door to door in some cases. With the current state of missing children adding in the amount of molestations occurring nationally and in the news, this is not a safe option anymore. Parents must accompany these children for their fundraising efforts, and as we discussed already, scheduling can limit if not hinder this option altogether.

Once the customers orders have been secured, then delivery or pick up of the products must be scheduled. This is more time invested, more volunteers needed now, not to mention space to store all those orders. Then there are the cancelled orders, a good hearted soul committing to too much at the time and not able to fulfill their obligation for various reasons. Who pays for that? What happens to those products?

Coordinating the pick-ups and the deliveries can be aggravating to say the least. Organizing this can be a whole adventure in itself. Not to mention the space needed for the products? What if there was an easier, less hands on way to secure this funding? A way to keep that customer year around, with recurring orders monthly? Adding in no cancelled orders to worry about during collection time.  Sound too good to be true, then just keep reading.

There is an option for just about any group out there that can tackle these issues with something as simple as a cup of coffee. Being that most people drink coffee or know someone that does, raising support has never been easier. In consideration that coffee is a consumable product by most adults, residual sales are likely. This in itself is exciting because it provides the opportunity for the group to continue fundraising throughout the year. It also affords the group an advantage, to retain existing customers and add new ones every month. This provides growth in the funding, both monthly and yearly. All without having to start over from scratch each campaign. Therefore growing there support base, growing there funding and most importantly they’re success.

The only question to ask yourself, is how many of your supporters drink coffee? How many of them had a cup this morning? How much funding for your effort did you miss just today, this week, this month, or this year?  Would your effort benefit from less manpower needed for your fundraising? Would the time of volunteers be better spent on your groups goals, rather than raising funds? What about less time spent securing orders, distribution, and collections? Would residual sales benefit your effort? If you answered yes to any of these, then you are not alone. There is a movement afoot, one that is shaping up to be the power house of fundraising for the 21st century. Yes in case you have not guessed by now, it is coffee. Given that coffee was one of the few industries that has seen substantial growth during this recession, it might be an option to investigate further?

Several groups are tapping into this as a viable and exciting opportunity for their fundraising efforts. The good news is that you can now do the same as well.
